FLOW THROUGH ORIFICE AND MOUTHPIECE APPARATUS MAKE: CREATIVE LAB MODEL: CLFM-07
DESCRIPTION:
It consists of a tank provided with inlet supply diffuser, overflow. Provision for fitting Orifice or mouthpiece at the outlet of tank. An arrangement is done to vary head and keep it constant at desired level. A pointer gauge arrangement for measuring X-Y co-ordinates of Jet is also fitted. Present set-up is self-contained water re-circulating unit, provided with a sump tank and a centrifugal pump etc.  Flow rate of water is measured with the help of measuring tank and stop watch.

DESCRIPTION:
The set-up consists of two glass columns packed with packing material one is packed with Rasching rings and other one is packed with glass beads, also with SS mesh to support the packing and with calming section. Pressure drop across packed bed can be measured by a manometer. The apparatus is close circuit type provided with tank, Pump, necessary piping, valves and Rotameter to measure the flow rate of fluid.
EXPERIMENTATION:
To study relationship between velocity of fluid and pressure drop per unit packed length in fixed and fluidized bed.

FLOW THROUGH HELICAL COIL MAKE : CREATIVE LAB MODEL NO:CLMTL-05
DESCRIPTION:
Helical coils are used for heating or cooling in process tanks. When a fluid flows through a curved tube, centrifugal force acting upon the various elements of fluid moving with different velocities causes secondary circulation. Secondary flow results in higher heat transfer characteristics. Further, secondary flow stabilizes the laminar flow leading to a higher critical Reynolds number for transition from laminar to turbulent flow.
EXPERIMENTATION:
To determine the critical Reynolds number of a fluid flowing through the coil.
To determine the friction factor for flow of water through helical coil.
To compare Pressure drop in helical coil with that in a straight pipe of same length, inside diameter and surface roughness.

DISCHARGE OVER NOTCHES APPARATUS MAKE: CREATIVE LAB MODEL NO: -CLFM-03

DESCRIPTION:                                                                     
The setup consists of a channel having sufficient length and width in which water is supplied from the bottom. Required Notch is fitted at one end of this channel. A pointer gauge with Vernier scale is fitted to measure the height of fluid in flow channel. Arrangement for fixing interchangeable notches is made.  Set of three notches, i.e. rectangular notch, 600 V notch & 450 V notch is provided along with the set-up. Present set-up is self-contained water re-circulating unit, provided with a sump tank and a centrifugal pump etc. Flow control valve and by-pass valve are fitted in water line to conduct the experiment on different flow rates. Flow rate of water is measured with the help of measuring tank and stopwatch.

IMPACT OF JET ON VANES MAKE: CREATIVE LAB MODEL NO: -CLFM-04
DESCRIPTION
The setup consists of a clear Acrylic fabrication section. Water is fed through a nozzle and discharged vertically to strike a target carried on a stem, which extends through the cover. A weight carrier is mounted on the upper end of the stem. The dead weight of the moving parts is counter balanced by a compression spring. The vertical force exerted on the target plate is measured for applied weights. Two targets cups are provided with the setup (flat plate and hemispherical cup).
EXPERIMENTATION:
To measure the force developed by a jet of water upon a target (Hemispherical cup or Flat Plate) and    
 Comparison with the forces predicted by the momentum theory.
