CO2 INCUBATOR/ CARBONATION TEST CHAMBER

The Chamber shall be fabricated with high standard, high quality of finish, which matches the performance with emphasis on reliability and economy of use. The use of the most up to date Eurotherm 2604 programmable PID Controller, Rotronics Temperature Humidity Probe, aSENSE CO2 Transmitter, shall make it Corrosion Free MS Powder Coated Exterior to enhance any test facility.
Internal dimensions: 600mm X 600mm X 600mm ; Volume : 210 Ltrs. Temperature Range:+10 OC to +60OC,
Temperature Measurement Accuracy : +/- 0.1 OC
Temperature Control Accuracy : with in +/- 1 OC after stabilization Humidity Range (RH) : 40% to 95% RH, ± 2% in standard temp range, limited to a dew point of 4degC. ( Refer Graph provided at the last ) Humidity Measurement Accuracy : +/- 1% RH

Air Compressor with refrigerated drier provided with the equipment will
produce precise humidity control and low temperature, low humidity
environments in the chamber.
CO2 Purging and Control System : A CO2 purging valve assembly is provided for the purging of CO2 inside the chamber. aSENSE CO2 Transmitter detects the CO2 level in the air (0-10% Concentration) and gives a 4-20mA output to control the opening and closing of the purging valve, to maintain the set concentration level. Spec. of CO2 Transmitter and Controller attached in the proposal Double Stage Chrome Plated Brass regulator with Pre- heater for CO2 Cylinder will provide smooth purging of CO2 in the Chamber. (C02 Cylinder will be in Buyer Scope )
Heating System: Inconel sheathed type evenly spaced in the annular space surrounding the
working volume.
Refrigeration Unit: Single Stage Copeland/Danfoss make Air Cooled Condenser System, complete with Compressor, Condensing unit, and CFC free refrigeration gas will be used
Finish: 18SWG MS Powder Coated Exterior Finish and 16SWG SS304 Interior with
Full TIG Welding for Vapor Tight Finish.
Door Assembly and Viewing window : Door System with full front opening type, compensating hinges with locking mechanism. Incorporated in the centre is the 400 X 400mm 5 Pane viewing window, with the whole being insulated with non-flammable Rock-wool and with an exterior finish, matching the main cladding.
Viewing window will be provided with light. Interlock protection will be provided for opening of door.
Insulation : Non-flammable 96Kg/m3 Density Rock wool 100 mm thick
Fan system : High performance externally mounted, flange-mounted motor drives internal fan through extended stainless steel shaft.
Controller system : The Eurotherm 2604 high performance Multi Loop PID Controller or equivalent shall be used. Over and under temperature indicator shall be of standard make.

Display : The Eurotherm Controller will show measured variable and set value
in OC, and humidity in % RH and CO2 in % Concentration
Construction : The chamber will be manufactured from high quality materials and standard components. The chamber will be fabricated from 18SWG MS. Powder Coated Material on the outside with a 16SWG SS304 bright interior. The stainless steel work is rigidised with mild steel sub frame.

THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY OF INSULATING SLAB

DESCRIPTION:
The set-up is designed to determine thermal conductivity of insulating materials in the form of slab. The apparatus consists of main central heater and ring guard heater, sandwiched between the specimens.  Cooling plates are provided on either side of the specimen. Two identical specimens are clamped between a heater that ensures unidirectional heat flow through specimen. The whole assembly is kept in chamber and insulated by ceramic wool insulation around the set-up.
EXPERIMENTATION:
Determination of thermal conductivity of insulating material in the form of slab.
Study of variation of thermal conductivity of the material with temperature.

THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY OF METAL ROD

DESCRIPTION:                                                                                          
The experimental set up consists of metal bar, one end of which is heated by an electric heater while the other end of the bar projects inside the cooling water jacket. A cylindrical shell filled with insulating material surrounds the middle portion of the bar.  The temperature of the bar is measured at different sections. Heat Input to the heater is given through variac. By varying the heat input rates, data can be obtained. Water at constant rate is circulated through the jacket and its flow rate and temperature rise is noted.
EXPERIMENTATION:
To plot the temperature distribution along the length of Bar.
To determine the thermal conductivity of given bar at various temperatures.
